Akkar Trail advocates for environmental awareness, encouraging people to become not only beneficiaries but also active contributors to biodiversity preservation within Akkar governorate, a natural hotspot.

Akkar’s natural asset is beyond valuable; however, highly threatened by forest fires and climate change, which puts us on a mission to not only promote responsible ecotourism but also preserve this biodiversity richness. Therefore, we conduct several environmental services including but not limited to afforestation, reforestation, trail rehabilitation, species documentation, restoration, and others.

In the face of all the rising challenges happening in our 21st century, Akkar Trail has created a forest fire department that has proven its capability to combat forest fires since 2020, not just through innovative strategies but also research and vehicle development, effective campaigns, and training, and knowledge dissemination.
